Although this is not a tech course, it is important that we make sure that your clinic website has a strong base, otherwise any efforts made to improve rankings will be wasted. Matt covers the aspects of webistes that Google has coined "core web vitals" including page speed, lack of intrusive interstitials and cumulative layout shift. To really speak to your potential clients directly, it makes sense that you need to know exactly who they are, and that's where avatars come in. In this lesson we will start the process of building avatars including my "Home Grown Method." In the next lesson we will really drill down on the avatars to get an exact picture of who they are. This will allow you to speak directly to them every time you produce a marketing message. This is a very powerful thing to do and will put you ahead of your competitors in your marketing.

In this lesson I will show you how to take the concept of an avatar much further. To really get to know someone we need great detail. We need to know what is going on in their life and what drives them. Are they someone who is proactive about their healthcare? What scares them, what are their goals, what is it that they need to be capable of doing? At the end of this lesson, you will not only have dived deep into your avatars, but they will have a name, a picture, and you will have their information printed out and laminated, to keep with you every time you are designing a promotional message.

Now that we know everything we need to know about our avatars (our potential clients), we need to know how to ensure they will find us when they search for our services on Google or other search engines. People type search terms intoa search engine and Google matches these search terms up with keywords to present the most relevant, accurate and up to date information on what they are looking for. I will show you the method that I have developed to cut out the fat and find the high volume keywords that you have to compete for, and some long tail, less volume but much less competitive keywords that could be called the "low hanging fruit." Welcome to the Brave New World! Artificial Intelligence has come along in leaps and bounds over the past few years. Most people have at least tried things like "Hey Siri" or "Okay Google," if so you've used AI. I'm going to show you how to use AI to wirte your blog posts heaps faster. Now don't get me wrong, it has to be your material, from your head, but AI can help by aggregating all the Google searches on particular topics and showing you what titles and sub-titles do well. It's also great for writer's block, by getting AI to write something on a topic it can give you great ideas to write your own content about. You may have heard of Meta Data in passing, but do you understand what it is for? Basically meta data is the title, description and the hash tags that you use to help Goolge and ultimately your audience, to find you. When you get a page of results from Google, Bing, or wherever, you see the meta data discplayed. The meta Title is in bold at the top of the result, and the meta description is a small paragraph below that. Getting your meta data right is crucial for getting results on Google. People will read the title, and then the description to decide if your article is what they are looking for. It also has to be very accurate, because if they click and then don't find what they're looking for, they will quickly get out of your website and you will have a high "bounce rate," which really damages your ranking on Google. So let's get your meta data spick and span!

You need to get your content out to the right people so that they know it exists, otherwise, it will never get read, just like the other billions of pieces of content out there. Hi I'm Matt Hayter, I graduated from QUT in 2003 with BHSc(Podiatry) degree and have worked as a podiatrist ever since.
In 2005 I set up my own clinic and have always been looking for different and better ways to promote it.A few years ago a friend of mine introduced me to the world of SEO and I was hooked. A fantastic way to get new clients without having to go knocking on doors and begging for referrals.
I have also worked as a teacher at QUT since 2004 having been involved with most subjects across 2nd to 4th years at different times, but mainly clinical supervision over the past several years.
With 2 podiatry friends, I have also been involved with our own CADCAM orthotics lab, which now provides orthotics for clinics around Australia.
