I Was Working My Butt Off, And Not Getting Ahead

I started a new practice in 2005, and absolutely worked as hard as I could to see as many referrers as I could, offering bulk billing, and seeing patients no matter when they needed to be seen.

Pretty soon I grew and I was seeing 20 plus patients in a day, never having more than a few days off in several years, and almost never having a sick day.

This was pre-covid and “soldier on with Codral” was the ethos back then, I once had a stomach bug where I had to excuse myself from the patient, go out the back and throw up, then clean myself up and come back in as though nothing had happened.
